Rensselaer Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 17-15 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lafayette Central Catholic Knights. On the bright side, the 15- run performance marked the Bombers' highest-scoring contest to date.

Rensselaer Central's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Lafayette Central Catholic, they pushed their record up to 9-3 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.
