Turkeyfoot Valley Area had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell 10-7 to Calvary Christian Academy. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

Zack Ryan made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole five bases while going 3-for-4. Those five stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Heath Nicholson, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Turkeyfoot Valley Area wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 10-8 victory against Mapletown on the 19th. As for Calvary Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 12-0 loss against Hancock on the 21st.
