Basketball Recap: Cornerstone Charter Academy's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak at Home

On Tuesday, the Cornerstone Charter Academy Ducks didn't have quite enough to beat the Tavares Bulldogs and fell 46-43. The loss was the Ducks' first of the season.

Perhaps the best among them was Grace Jervis, who went 6 of 11 on her way to 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lalelei Cox, who went 5 of 8 on her way to 10 points.

Cornerstone Charter Academy's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-1. As for Tavares, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-5 record.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cornerstone Charter Academy will host Freedom at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tavares, they will welcome Osceola at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
