Basketball Recap: Paxton Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Tanner Hebblethwaite and Tristen Hebblethwaite

It was a proper cat-fight when Paxton challenged Hershey on Friday. The Paxton Tigers lost to the Hershey Panthers at home by a 61-44 margin. The Tigers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Despite the loss, Paxton had strong showings from Tristen Hebblethwaite, who posted nine points and five rebounds, and Tanner Hebblethwaite, who put up 11 points along with seven boards and four steals. Tanner has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Ethan Hardin was another key player, putting up seven points.

Paxton's record is now 14-7. As for Hershey, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-18.

Looking ahead, Paxton will welcome St. Patrick's at 7:00 p.m. on February 21st. As for Hershey, they will head out to face off against Holdrege at 6:30 p.m. on February 21st.
