Volleyball Recap: Southern Wayne Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Southern Wayne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Hunt Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-10, 25-11.

Morgan Brimberry paced Southern Wayne's offense, picking up eight kills. Brimberry got some help from Addison McPhail and her 13 assists. Finally, Morgan Kornegay kept Southern Wayne's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Hunt's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Savannah Comstock, who had 24 assists. That's the most assists Comstock has posted since back in September of 2024.

Southern Wayne's defeat dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Hunt, their record is now 6-10.

Southern Wayne wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Rocky Mount on the 25th. As for Hunt, they will square off against Southern Nash at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
