Tamaqua and Pottsville are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. Tamaqua will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Pottsville at 4:00 p.m. Pottsville took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Tamaqua, who comes in off a win.

Pottsville will be up against a hot Tamaqua squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Everything went Tamaqua's way against Schuylkill Valley on Friday as Tamaqua made off with a 9-1 win. Fans of the Blue Raiders have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Gavan Hess looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, Mason Ligenza was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Ansbach, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Pottsville scored first but ultimately less than Fleetwood in their match on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 5-3. The defeat continues a trend for the Crimson Tide in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost four in a row.

Pottsville saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dominic Rynard, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Another was Brody Eroh, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

Tamaqua's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Pottsville, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Tamaqua came out on top in a nail-biter against Pottsville when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 7-6. Will Tamaqua repeat their success, or does Pottsville has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
