Softball Game Preview: Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta Tigers vs. West Central Area Knights

The Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta Tigers will take on the West Central Area Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta's pitching crew has only allowed 1.1 runs per game this season, so West Central Area's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

West Central Area will be up against a hot Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. The Tigers put the hurt on Minnewaska Area with a sharp 7-1 win on Friday. Considering the Tigers have won ten matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, West Central Area won against Minnewaska Area last Tuesday with nine runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Knights came out on top against Sauk Centre by a score of 9-6. The victory continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Mainstreeters: they've now won five in a row.

Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta pushed their record up to 14-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for West Central Area, their win bumped their record up to 9-4.
