Baseball Game Preview: Alameda Hornets vs. Bishop O'Dowd Dragons

Alameda is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Bishop O'Dowd a five-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Wednesday. The Alameda Hornets will be playing at home against the Bishop O'Dowd Dragons at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Encinal hit Alameda with a four-run sixth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Hornets lost 7-1 to the Jets.

Meanwhile, Bishop O'Dowd didn't have quite enough to beat Capistrano Valley Christian last Thursday and fell 9-8.

Bishop O'Dowd's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11-1. As for Alameda, their loss dropped their record down to 8-11.

Alameda was able to grind out a solid win over Bishop O'Dowd in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, winning 11-6. Do the Hornets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Dragons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
