Recap: East Henderson Eagles vs. North Henderson Knights
After a string of seven wins, the East Henderson Eagles's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of North Henderson by a score of 50-47. East Henderson was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as North Henderson apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.
Despite the loss, East Henderson still got an impressive performance from Caiden Brewer, who scored 30 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Brewer hasn't dropped below 16 points for 17 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Joseph Justice, who scored five points.
North Henderson got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Luke Hill out in front who scored 14 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hill has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kaiden Thomas, who scored four points along with ten rebounds and three steals.
East Henderson's defeat dropped their record down to 17-5. As for North Henderson, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Pisgah the next time they take the court. East Henderson will host Pisgah at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while North Henderson will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
