Softball Recap: Council Grove Comes Up Short

Council Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 15-0 to the Osage City Indians. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Braves were not able to get on the board.

Council Grove saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Shanyn Miller, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Miller has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.

Council Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Osage City, they pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Council Grove will square off against Trinity Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Braves will need to watch out since the Knights have now posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season. As for Osage City, they will venture away from home to challenge Baldwin at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Indians surely won't give up without a fight.
