Baseball Recap: Palacios Comes Up Short

Palacios lost against Hallettsville back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Sharks fell just short of the Brahmas by a score of 3-2. The Sharks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Aydan Flores was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched six innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits.

At the plate, Noah West was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run. He also put up a run, which was his first of the season.

Palacios' loss dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Hallettsville, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 17 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-3 record this season.

While Palacios had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
