Football Recap: Palmyra Comes Up Short

Palmyra fell victim to Hershey and their airtight defense on Friday. They were beaten by the Trojans 48-0. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 395th, while the Trojans are ranked 159th).

Cameron Sweeney had a dynamite game For Hershey., rushing for 111 yards and one score on only nine carries, while also throwing for 207 yards and one TD on only 18 passes. Those 207 passing yards gave Sweeney a new career-high. Daniel Oseghale got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Palmyra now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Hershey, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Palmyra has already played their next game, a 13-12 defeat against Shippensburg on the 12th. As for Hershey, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 27-7 victory against Mifflin County on the 12th.
