Oakwood Academy skates past Valley Head with ease

Recap: Oakwood Academy Mustangs vs. Valley Head Tigers
The Oakwood Academy Mustangs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Valley Head 91-55 on the road. The victory was just what Oakwood Academy needed coming off of a 79-58 defeat in their prior game.
Oakwood Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Chris Callender, who scored 16 points along with nine rebounds. Those 16 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Nathan Nesbitt, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Oakwood Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-11 record this season. As for Valley Head, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-15.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oakwood Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Westminster Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th. As for Valley Head, they will face off against Athens Bible at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Athens Bible's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four contests.
