It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Lincoln had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Woodland Wolves, sneaking past 7-6. This was a revenge game for the Fighting Zebras: when they faced off against the Wolves on Wednesday, they had to take a 4-1 defeat.

Jackson Cook and Landyn Plaut did most of the damage at the plate: Cook went 3-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI, while Plaut went 1-for-4 with one home run. Adriano Montes was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Lincoln has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-9 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Woodland, their loss dropped their record down to 24-10.
