Volleyball Game Preview: St. Patrick Shamrocks vs. Saint Viator Lions

The St. Patrick Shamrocks will head out to challenge the Saint Viator Lions at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

St. Patrick is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Benet Academy just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Monday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Redwings.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Saint Viator also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to DePaul College Prep by a score of 2-0. The Lions have struggled against the Rams recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Saint Viator's loss dropped their record down to 6-21. As for St. Patrick, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-13.

St. Patrick beat Saint Viator 2-0 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Shamrocks since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
