Pioneer Valley entered their tilt with Carpinteria on Friday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Warriors. For the Panthers, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 victory the Warriors walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2022.

Pioneer Valley had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-21, 25-10, 25-22.

Pioneer Valley was led to victory by Yahir Lopez and Israel Caravarin. Lopez had 19 digs and one assist, while Caravarin had seven digs. Those 19 digs gave Lopez a new career-high.

Pioneer Valley pushed their record up to 17-16 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Carpinteria, they now have a losing record of 11-12.

Looking ahead, Pioneer Valley will venture away from home to challenge Santa Maria at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Carpinteria, they will welcome Nordhoff at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
