Baseball Recap: Washington Union Takes a Loss

Washington Union was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the El Diamante Miners.

Washington Union saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dailon Finderup, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits Finderup has posted since back in April of 2024. Max Zuniga also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Washington Union's defeat dropped their record down to 9-3. As for El Diamante, they now have a winning record of 6-5-1.

Washington Union didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 6-5 victory against Mt. Whitney on the 28th. As for El Diamante, they will challenge Porterville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
