Football Game Preview: Chippewa Falls Cardinals vs. Menomonie Mustangs + Official Tickets

Chippewa Falls is 2-8 against Menomonie since November of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Cardinals will head out to challenge the Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

On Friday, Chippewa Falls came up short against Hudson and fell 28-15.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 14-14 at halftime, Menomonie was not quite River Falls' equal in the second half on Friday. They were dealt a 42-14 loss at the hands of the Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin football rankings (they are ranked 74th, while the Wildcats are ranked 12th).

Chippewa Falls' defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Menomonie, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

Everything came up roses for Chippewa Falls against Menomonie in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 35-7 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cardinals since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
