Baseball Recap: Santaluces' Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

While Santaluces's victory against Atlantic wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Santaluces Chiefs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-9 win over the Atlantic Eagles on Thursday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 13-4 last Thursday.

David Montilla was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing Three bases. while going 2-for-4. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Ramyl Guzman was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Santaluces' victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-12. As for Atlantic, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Santaluces will square off against Lake Worth at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Santaluces is facing Lake Worth at the right time seeing as Lake Worth is stuck on a five-game losing streak. Atlantic will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Somerset Academy - Canyons at 6:30 p.m. on April 3rd.
