Volleyball Game Preview: Gibsonburg Golden Bears vs. Margaretta Polar Bears

Gibsonburg hasn't had much luck against Margaretta recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

On Thursday, Gibsonburg came up short against St. Joseph Central Catholic and fell 3-1.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-16, 19-25, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Margaretta came up short against Willard on Thursday, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Polar Bears in their meetings with the Crimson Flashes: they've now lost nine in a row.

While Margaretta was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-23, 25-16.

Gibsonburg's defeat dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Margaretta, their loss dropped their record down to 6-16.

Gibsonburg was able to grind out a solid win over Margaretta when the teams last played back in September, winning 3-1. Do the Golden Bears have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Polar Bears turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
