Baseball Recap: South Williamsport Comes Up Short

South Williamsport was the 9-7 winner over Williamsport when they last played one another back in May of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Mountaineers took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Millionaires on Thursday.

Torin Haug made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI. Jaymes Carpenter was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

South Williamsport has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-9 record this season. As for Williamsport, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-6.

South Williamsport does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Williamsport, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 13-2 win against Holy Redeemer on the 16th.
