Meanwhile, Cairo-Durham also failed to score in their most recent game. They came up short against Chatham on Tuesday, falling 18-0. The Mustangs' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Cairo-Durham saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Young, who went 1-for-2 with one double. That double marked the first that Young hit this season.

Cairo-Durham's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Taconic Hills, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 4-2.

Everything went Taconic Hills' way against Cairo-Durham in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Taconic Hills made off with a 12-1 victory. Will the Titans repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
