Volleyball Recap: Valwood Starts off Right with Win over Thomasville

Valwood had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Thomasville Bulldogs 3-0 on Thursday. The Valiants haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Valwood never let Thomasville on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-15, 25-16.

When it comes to explaining why Thomasville lost, don't look at Kamryn Shokat. Despite the final result, she had four aces and three digs.

Looking ahead, Valwood will challenge Lanier at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Thomasville, they will square off against Georgia Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
