Volleyball Recap: Bolton Bulldogs vs. Putnam Clippers
Bolton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Putnam Clippers.
While Bolton was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-22, 25-15.
Cameron Anderson paced Bolton's offense, picking up seven kills. Anderson also shared the team's lead in assists with Gabriella Chamberland: they picked up four each. Anderson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.
Putnam was led to victory by Iyanah Ruiz and Elieana Ionkin. Ruiz had 15 digs, seven blocks, and five aces, while Ionkin had 14 digs and six aces.
Bolton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Putnam, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Bolton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Canton on the 9th. As for Putnam, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Wheeler at 5:00 p.m. on the 19th.
