Baseball Recap: Dunham Comes Up Short

After flying high against Mandeville on Thursday, Dunham came back down to earth. The Tigers fell just short of the Ascension Catholic Bulldogs by a score of 6-5 on Monday. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2025.

Dunham has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-18-1 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Ascension Catholic, they now have a winning record of 16-15.

Coming up, Dunham will be playing in front of their home fans against Lutcher at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ascension Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
