Basketball Recap: KIPP P Falls Despite Big Games from Jihad Baker and Tristian Sharpe

KIPP P lost against Northwest Halifax back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The KIPP P Pride fell 58-47 to the Northwest Halifax Vikings.

Despite the loss, KIPP P had strong showings from Tristian Sharpe, who posted 11 points, and Jihad Baker, who earned 14 points.

Northwest Halifax's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Shaheim Silver, who scored 13 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals. Silver is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Daveion Richardson, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten boards.

KIPP P has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Northwest Halifax, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

KIPP P didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 59-49 defeat against Northampton County on the 28th. As for Northwest Halifax, they have also already played their next matchup, a 91-90 loss against Rocky Mount Prep on the 4th.
