Football Game Preview: Westlake Rams vs. South Beauregard Knights + Official Tickets

Two dominant backs in Braylon Garrick and Jacob Marcantel are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Westlake Rams will be playing in front of their home fans against the South Beauregard Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Westlake's favor as the squad sits on five straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while South Beauregard has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.

On Friday, Westlake came up short against Lake Charles College Prep and fell 26-14. The game marked the Rams' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Although Westlake took the loss, they still got scores from Dax Duhon and Brody Anderson.

Meanwhile, South Beauregard also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to St. Louis Catholic by a score of 17-7.

Westlake's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for South Beauregard, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Westlake has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 203.2 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like South Beauregard struggles in that department as they've been averaging 153 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.

Everything went Westlake's way against South Beauregard in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as Westlake made off with a 41-20 victory. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Knights' Christian Wold, who rushed for 160 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 8.4 yards per carry, and also threw for 156 yards on ten of 15 attempts. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be easier for the Rams to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
