Basketball Recap: Milan Takes a Loss

Milan lost against Shawe Memorial back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Milan Indians were beaten by the Shawe Memorial Hilltoppers 56-12. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 374th, while the Hilltoppers are ranked 107th).

Milan dropped their record down to 2-12 with the loss, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Shawe Memorial, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-4.

Milan won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Shawe Memorial has already played their next match (against Rock Creek Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
