Football Game Preview: Casey County Rebels vs. Lexington Catholic Knights

The Casey County Rebels will head out on the road to take on the Lexington Catholic Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Casey County has struggled recently with four defeats in a row, while Lexington Catholic will arrive with three straight victories.

Casey County is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Mercer County on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Rebels came up short against the Titans, falling 37-16. The Rebels were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 23-0.

Meanwhile, while Lexington Catholic put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Bardstown. The Knights took their matchup with ease, bagging a 36-0 win over the Tigers. Considering the Knights have won three games by more than 33 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Casey County's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Lexington Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.
