Basketball Recap: Hoxie Takes a Loss

Hoxie was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were dealt a 75-15 loss at the hands of the Walnut Ridge Bobcats. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 56-27 back in December of 2024.

Hoxie's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Walnut Ridge, with the victory, they broke their seven-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-14.

While Hoxie had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
