If Dixie wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Desert Hills, they should've done a better job of containing Isaac Andresen. The Thunder secured a 14-10 W over the Flyers on Friday thanks in part to Andresen, who picked up 70 receiving yards and one score, and also rushed for 117 yards. Desert Hills is 2-1 when Andresen posts 100 or more rushing yards, but 0-4 otherwise.

Desert Hills' victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-5. As for Dixie, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Desert Hills will head out to challenge Pine View at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Thunder's defense better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 37.3 points per game this season. As for Dixie, they are taking a road trip to take on Crimson Cliffs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Flyers surely won't give up without a fight.
