Basketball Recap: Memorial Comes Up Short

Memorial fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Aledo on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Aledo Bearcats by a score of 76-73. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (61), the Mavericks still had to take the loss.

Memorial has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season. As for Aledo, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 15-1.

Memorial will head out on the road to take on Childress at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Aledo, they will be home for the holidays to greet Chisholm Trail at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
