The timing is sure in Walter Johnson's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Gaithersburg has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.

Last Friday, Walter Johnson strolled past Damascus with points to spare, taking the game 60-44.

Kendall Alexander had a dynamite game for Walter Johnson, dropping a double-double on 17 points and ten boards. Alexander is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least four every time she's taken the court this season. Elizabeth Martin was another key player, going 6 for 9 on her way to 14 points.

Walter Johnson smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in ten consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Gaithersburg hadn't done well against Richard Montgomery recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Gaithersburg managed a 38-33 win over Richard Montgomery.

Gaithersburg's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Walter Johnson, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.
