Softball Recap: Ellison Comes Up Short

Ellison came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Lake Belton Broncos, falling 16-1. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Broncos recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Ellison's defeat dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Lake Belton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-6 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Ellison will face off against rival University at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Lake Belton is set to challenge their familiar foe Waco at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
