Baseball Game Preview: Cascade Cadets vs. Northview Knights

The Cascade Cadets will challenge the Northview Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Cascade is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.

Cascade is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Kokomo just ended the team's 13-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Wildkats by a score of 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Cadets have suffered since April 12th.

Braxton Lewis was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. TJ Turner was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, Northview hadn't done well against West Vigo recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Knights skirted past the Vikings 2-1. The win continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won three in a row.

Cascade's defeat dropped their record down to 18-4. As for Northview, their victory bumped their record up to 9-10.

Everything went Cascade's way against Northview in their previous matchup back in April, as Cascade made off with a 12-2 win. Do the Cadets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Knights turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
