Volleyball Game Preview: Coral Gables Cavaliers vs. Belen Jesuit Wolverines

The Coral Gables Cavaliers are taking a road trip to square off against the Belen Jesuit Wolverines at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Coral Gables will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Coral Gables had won three straight home games and William Hardie did his part to make it four on Monday. The Cavaliers came out on top against Miami Beach by a score of 3-1 with plenty of help from Hardie, who had 19 digs and two assists. Hardie is crushing it when it comes to digs: he's had at least ten every time he's taken the court this season.

Coral Gables had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-21, 25-18, 26-24.

Meanwhile, Belen Jesuit came into Tuesday's matchup having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They put the hurt on Mater Academy Charter with a sharp 3-0 victory on Tuesday. The Wolverines not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 1st.

While Belen Jesuit might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Mater Academy Charter scored at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-19, 27-25.

Coral Gables' record is now 12-5. As for Belen Jesuit, their record now sits at 10-12.
