Basketball Recap: Amite Comes Up Short

Amite was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 69-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mamou Demons. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 297th, while the Demons are ranked 103rd).

Amite's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Mamou, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

Amite will be playing in front of their home fans against Franklinton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mamou, they will challenge Kinder at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
