Softball Game Preview: Crawford Pirates vs. Jonesboro Eagles

Crawford has gone a perfect 8-0 against Jonesboro recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Pirates will head out to take on the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. Crawford is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.

Crawford's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Moody by a score of 4-0.

Not much got past Ally Ingle-Dyer, who gave up just two hits and racked up ten Ks to keep Moody off the board. Ingle-Dyer has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Kennedy Bubert was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in February.

Jonesboro played against Bosqueville on Friday and lost via forfeit.

Jonesboro's loss dropped their record down to 7-6-1. As for Crawford, they now have a winning record of 11-10.

Crawford got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in March against Jonesboro by a conclusive 10-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
