After a string of four wins, Ware Shoals's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They took a 68-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Calhoun Falls Charter Blue Flashes. The Hornets were probably out for revenge after losing 84-76 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Ware Shoals' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was DK Middleton, who posted 14 points and four steals. Charles Callaham was another key player, putting up 11 points and four steals.

Ware Shoals now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Calhoun Falls Charter, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games.
