Volleyball Recap: Parkway North's Run of Seven Straight Victories Now Over

Parkway North dropped down to 13-9 on Saturday, ending the team's seven-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Holt Indians by a score of 2-1. The Vikings were not able to make up for their defeat to the Indians from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Ellanee Nieto paced Parkway North's offense, picking up 15 kills. Nieto got some help from Abby Schrumpf and her 23 assists. Nieto was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

As for Holt, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since September 2nd.

Holt was led to victory by Cameran Ebert and Ashlyn ` Winans. Ebert had 12 digs and one assist, while Winans had eight digs and one assist. That's the most digs Ebert has posted over her last nine contests.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Parkway North will face off against Parkway Central at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Holt, they will take on St. Charles West at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
