Recap: Hermitage Hornets vs. St. Elizabeth Hornets

While the Hermitage Hornets couldn't quite beat the St. Elizabeth Hornets on Monday, the three-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the 35-point defeat they were dealt last Tuesday. Hermitage fell just short of St. Elizabeth by a score of 62-59. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

Noah Chipman had an outrageously good game for St. Elizabeth as he scored 14 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Chipman has scored all season. Gavin Williams was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with nine rebounds and seven assists.

This is the second loss in a row for Hermitage and nudges their season record down to 10-8. As for St. Elizabeth, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-9 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games.
