Basketball Recap: Spotswood Gets the Win

Spotswood hadn't done well against J.P. Stevens recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Spotswood Chargers escaped with a win against the J.P. Stevens Hawks by the margin of a single free throw, 44-43. This was payback for the Chargers, who suffered a 46-27 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The victory made it two in a row for Spotswood and bumps their season record up to 2-1. As for J.P. Stevens, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Spotswood will venture away from home to take on East Brunswick at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for J.P. Stevens, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Middlesex at 5:30 p.m. on January 2, 2025.
