Basketball Game Preview: Beamer Titans vs. White River Hornets

The Beamer Titans are taking a road trip to square off against the White River Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with five defeats in a row, Beamer turned things around against Kentlake on Tuesday. They escaped with a win against the Falcons by the margin of a single free throw, 44-43.

Meanwhile, White River had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.3 points) and they went ahead and made it eight on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 80-34 win over the Raiders. Given the Hornets' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 26th, while the Raiders are ranked 184th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

White River's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.4 points per game. As for Beamer, their win ended a 16-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-14.

Beamer was taken down by White River 70-11 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Can Beamer avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
