Basketball Game Preview: Bingham Miners vs. Rock Canyon Jaguars

The Bingham Miners will take on the Rock Canyon Jaguars at 6:40 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Tuesday, Bingham needed a bit of extra time to put away Olympus. They slipped by the Titans 80-79. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Miners.

Bingham got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Parker Snedaker out in front who shot 75% from beyond the arc to rack up 28 points and six rebounds. The game was Snedaker's fourth in a row with at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke West, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten assists.

Meanwhile, Rock Canyon took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Broomfield as they made off with a 76-54 win.

Bingham now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Rock Canyon, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
