Basketball Game Preview: Wirt County Tigers vs. Richwood Lumberjacks

The Wirt County Tigers will venture away from home to face off against the Richwood Lumberjacks at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Richwood took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Wirt County, who comes in off a win.

Last Tuesday, Wirt County earned a 51-44 win over Parkersburg Catholic. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Meanwhile, Richwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They fell 55-42 to Meadow Bridge.

Wirt County has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points per game. As for Richwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-11.
