Baseball Recap: Fallston Comes Up Short

Fallston fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Bohemia Manor on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 4-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-5 on Wednesday.

Reese Conley and Tyler Conrad did some serious damage despite the final result: Conley went 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one double, while Conrad went 1-for-4 with one home run and two runs. Those three hits gave Conley a new career-high. Zach Loewe also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

This is the second loss in a row for Fallston and nudges their season record down to 3-3. As for Bohemia Manor, their victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1.

Coming up, Fallston will head out to take on John Carroll at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. John Carroll will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Fallston surely won't give up without a fight. As for Bohemia Manor, they will square off against Perryville at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
