Basketball Recap: Mount Pisgah Christian Academy Snaps Seven-Game Streak of Wins at Home

After flying high against Temple Baptist Academy last Saturday, Mount Pisgah Christian Academy came back down to earth. The game between Mount Pisgah Christian Academy and the Sunbright Tigers didn't end well, with Mount Pisgah Christian Academy falling 43-28. Mount Pisgah Christian Academy has struggled against Sunbright recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, Mount Pisgah Christian Academy had strong showings from Brooklyn Foster, who posted six points and 18 boards, and Gracie Wilson, who had ten points.

Sunbright's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Mckenna Smith led the charge by going 6 of 12 on her way to 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabella Branstetter, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds.

Mount Pisgah Christian Academy's defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-3. As for Sunbright, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mount Pisgah Christian Academy will square off against Berean Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sunbright, they will head out to square off against Harriman at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
