Softball Recap: Bogue Chitto Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Bogue Chitto, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Amite County Trojans a 16-0 shutout on Monday. The Bobcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by six runs or more this season.

Kylee Reynolds was a standout: she scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. That's the most runs she has posted since back in February. Harper Kyzar was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Bogue Chitto always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .808. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The victory snapped Bogue Chitto's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-12 record. As for Amite County, they are on a 16-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-17.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Bogue Chitto beat the Trojans by a score of 15-0 later that day.
