Football Game Preview: Tyrone Golden Eagles vs. Bishop Guilfoyle Marauders + How To Watch

The Tyrone Golden Eagles are taking a road trip to take on the Bishop Guilfoyle Marauders at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Tyrone's defense has only allowed 14.6 points per game this season, so Bishop Guilfoyle's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Tyrone is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Bellwood-Antis just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a hard 26-7 fall against the Blue Devils. The game marked the Golden Eagles' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bishop Guilfoyle). They claimed a resounding 49-7 victory over Central. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 20-0.

Tyrone better keep an eye on Justin Wheeler. He was instrumental in Bishop Guilfoyle's win, rushing for 97 yards and one TD on only 11 carries, while also throwing for 165 yards and one touchdown. What's more, Wheeler racked up 121 passer rating, the most he's had since back in October of 2024. Keegan Hewitt was another key player, rushing for 60 yards and one score on only seven carries.

Bishop Guilfoyle's win was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 7.8 points on average over those games. As for Tyrone, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Tyrone came up short against Bishop Guilfoyle in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, falling 50-37. Can the Golden Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
