Softball Recap: The First Academy Comes Up Short

The First Academy Royals lost 10-1 to the East River Falcons on Thursday. The Royals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The First Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lily Bissonnette, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

The First Academy now has a losing record of 9-10. As for East River, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. The First Academy will head out to challenge Mount Dora Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for East River, they will face off against St. Cloud at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Falcons 3.2, the Bulldogs 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
